African First Ladies & Hollywood stars discuss health issues The first ever African First Ladies Health Summit gets underway in Los Angeles, CA Global Health TV reporter, Sam Hughes, brings us some of the highlights from the first day of Leadership for Health. The summit, being held in Los Angeles, is the first time such an event has happened in the United States. The summit brings together the first ladies from Africa along with Hollywood stars, to discuss the health challenges facing the continent. It was a busy first day with speakers including Maria Shriver, wife of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the Hon. Melanne Verveer in her newly created role of Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues.
