The African Hope Committee is proudly sponsoring a Gift of Water event on Thursday, January 28th from 5pm on at the Killarney Rose (127 Pearl St, 2nd floor, Manhattan). Donations from the night’s event will go towards a P&G program that provides clean drinking water to families all around the world, including those earthquake victims in Haiti. All it requires of you is a purchase of a drink from the bar (or a donation!) Feel free to look up the Children’s Safe Drinking Water program to find out more information and create your own clean cup of water at www.csdw.org.

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Harlem United Host a consultative meeting with community members, stakeholders and health care providers to discuss HIV epidemic and other health concerns in the African community in New York City. Delicious African food will be served.
